تعمل شركة جوجل على اختبار طريقة جديدة لتسجيل الدخول إلى خدماتها دون الحاجة لاستخدام كلمات المرور، وذلك اعتمادًا على قطعة صغيرة بحجم المفتاح تقريبًا يمكن إدخالها في منفذ (يو إس بي) لجهاز الكمبيوتر أو لمسها بالهاتف المحمول لتسجيل الدخول إلى خدمات جوجل بشكل مباشر.
وبحسب التقرير الذي نشره موقع صحيفة “وول ستريت جورنال” فإن موظفي جوجل يستخدمون الجهاز داخليًا ضمن الشركة كبديل عن كلمات المرور، وتخطط الشركة لإتاحته العام القادم لجميع المستخدمين كوسيلة سهلة وسريعة للدخول إلى بريد “جيميل” وخدمات جوجل الأخرى.
يقول “مايانك أوبادياي” مدير هندسة الأمن في جوجل بأن هذه القطع سهلة الاستخدام وتقدم درجة عالية من التشفير. وأضاف أن جوجل وعبر استخدامها لهذه القطع ضمن الشركة ساهمت برفع معيار الأمان للموظفين بشكل يفوق ما هو متوفر تجاريًا.
ويذكر التقرير بأن الجهاز الذي تختبره جوجل هو من صناعة شركة Yubico الأمريكية، وتبلغ سماكته 3 ميليمتر فقط ووزنه 3 جرام، وهو متوفر للبيع عن طريق موقع شركة Yubico مقابل حوالي 50 دولار أمريكي، ومن المتوقع أن تقوم جوجل بإعادة تخصيصه لخدماتها وبيعه، إلا أن خطط الشركة ليست واضحة بعد في هذا الصد
تمكنت مجموعة من طلاب الجامعة بالإضافة إلى مصمم يبلغ من العمر 17 عاماً فقط، من التغلب على كبرى الشركات التقنية العالمية، وصناعة أول ساعة يد بجميع خيارات الهواتف الذكية.
تعمل الساعة "أندرويدلي، Androidly" والتي يبلغ ثمنها 150 دولار فقط على نظام التشغيل أندرويد ومن الممكن إجراء المكالمات إرسال الرسائل النصية من خلال شريحة الهاتف، بالإضافة إلى التقاط الصور من خلال كاميرا بدقة 2 ميجابكسل، كما تحتوي الساعة الجديد على نظام الملاحة GPS وبلوتوث وحتى تقنية الاتصال اللاسلكي بالانترنت واي فاي، وزودت الساعة أيضاً بذاكرة سعتها 16 جيجابايت.
يقتصر عمل الساعات التي سربت مواصفاتها مؤخراً على تزويد المستخدم بتحديثات الهاتف الجوال فقط عبر وصلها بتقنية بلوتوث أو NFC، وتعتبر هذه المرة الأولى التي يكشف عن ساعة يد ذكية تجري الاتصالات وترسل الرسائل أو تتصل بالانترنت بالإضافة إلى التقاطها الصور.
مع انها كشفت عن جهازها اللوحي في وقت سابق من هذا العام، أعلنت HP عن إطلاق جهازها اللوحي Slate 7 – سليت 7، وهو أول جهاز لوحي بنظام التشغيل أندرويد من الشركة.
ويتميز بنسخة “جيلي بين” من نظام التشغيل أندرويد 4.1 وبسعر تنافسي يتيح للمستخدمين سهولة التمتع بخدمات جوجل موبايل. ويبلغ قطر الشاشة 7 بوصات بدقة عرض 600/1024 بيكسل وكثافة 170 ppi ويزن 368 غراماً.
كما يتميز بإطار فولاذي غير قابل للصدأ ويأتي بالألوان: الأسود أو الرمادي أو الأحمر في الخلف. كما أنه أول جهاز لوحي يتضمن تقنية “بيتس أوديو” – Beats Audio للتمتع بأفضل تجربة صوتية في الأجهزة اللوحية.
واما بقية المواصفات التقنية للجهاز فهي انه يتمتع بمعالج ثنائي النواة Cortex A9 بتردد 1.6 جيجا هيرتز، وذاكرة عشوائية (رام) 1 جيجا بايت بينما تبلغ سعة ذاكرة التخزين (فلاش) 8 جيجا بايت مع امكانية الزيادة عبر منفذ micro SD لغاية 32 جيجا بايت.
والجهاز مزود بكاميرا خلفية جودتها 3.15 ميجا بايت بينما الامامية من نوع VGA، واما البطارية فهي ثابتة ولم ترد تفاصيل عنها باستثناء انها ستكفي للعمل المتواصل على مدار خمس ساعات.
وتعتبر المنتجات الجديدة للشركة جزءاً من جهود وحدتها لأعمال الأجهزة المتحركة العالمية، والتي أنشئت في سبتمبر 2012.
حقق الحاسب الخارق الصيني المعروف باسم “تيانهي-2″ Tianhe-2، سرعة معالجة بيانات بلغت “30.65 بيتافلوب في الثانية”، رغم أن الاختبار تم أثناء تشغيل الحاسب بحوالي 90 بالمئة من قدرته الكلية، وأظهر الاختبار أنه أسرع بنسبة 74 بالمئة من الحاسب الأمريكي الخارق “تيتان” Titan الذي تبلغ سرعته ” 17.59 بيتافلوب في الثانية” و الذي يعتبر المتصدر الحالي لقائمة أسرع 500 حاسب خارق في العالم.
كشفت شركة “إنتل” النقاب عن ما تدعوه “أسرع جهاز تخزين فلاش في العالم”، يتميز باستخدامه لتقنية “ثندربولت” التي تستخدمها شركة “آبل” في حاسباتها، والتي مكنت الجهاز الجديد من نقل البيانات بسرعات عالية جدًا مقارنة بالأجهزة التي تعتمد على منافذ USB.
يأتي هذا الإعلان أثناء مشاركة “إنتل” خلال فعاليات معرض Computex 2013 الدولي الذي يقام حاليًا في العاصمة التايوانية، تايبيه، حيث عرضت الشركة نسخة من جهازها الجديد بسعة 128 جيجابايت.

وأضاف هبر أن سرعة نقل البيانات في أجهزة التخزين الفلاشية المزودة بتقنية “ثندربولت” ستزداد مع الوقت وذلك بفضل تطور التقنية، هذا وقد أعلنت شركة “إنتل” مؤخرًا عن الإصدار الثاني من التقنية، حيث توفر “ثندربولت 2″، التي وعدت الشركة بظهور أجهزة تدعم هذه التقنية نهاية العام الجاري، سرعة تصل إلى 20 جيجابت في الثانية.

THE LIFE SPECTRUM ANALYZER
The core of W/Me resides in the special sensor we developed called the life spectrum analyzer (LSA). We started with the idea that we wanted to go beyond typical analytics such as heart beats per minute and estimated calories burned. In order to provide analysis on mental state, mental agility, and breathing, a more-sensitive solution is required.
Traditionally, AgCl jelly needs to be smeared on electrodes to measure the minute electrical signals caused by the heart muscle depolarization during a heartbeat. We developed a dry conduction electrode (patent pending) that involves a multi-stage plating process to boost conductivity and increase comfort and longevity of the sensor. Coupled with instrumentation amplifiers, a filter chain, a precision analog-to-digital converter, and a digital signal processor,the original sub-microvolt signals can processed and used to provide useful data.
MENTAL STATE
Our app can use the LSA to map out your subconscious mental state, whether it be passive, excitable, pessimistic, or anxious.

The Meta 1 is a pair of virtual reality goggles that performs some very unique and useful tricks. While they are still in beta stage, the glasses are coupled with a Kinect-like camera to sense objects in real space and allow users to interact with virtual worlds with the swipe of their hand.
The company founder, Meron Gribetz, says that the company is on track to create a mass produced solution shortly, but until then they have brought on Steve Mann, a real cyborg and wearable computing researcher, to act as an advisor. You’ll recall that Mann was assaulted in a Parisian McDonald’s for wearing a Google-Glass-like headset.
“We brought Mann on board because of his expertise in two key areas: miniaturization and mediated reality. Mann has been developing a Google Glass-like device for years but recognized now was not the right time for something of that scale, because of the limitations of such a device. Rather than a phone accessory, Mann is keen to work with us to develop a fully fledged new interface for computers,” said Gribetz.
“His scientific leadership in mediated reality will be a huge advantage for us when delivering an immersive augmented experience. Occlusion (hiding or modifying real world objects) is a key part of full augmented reality and Mann’s experience in mediated reality will allow us to bring the best solution to market in this area.”
Gribetz is a Y Combinator alum and the project, which is still on Kickstarter, is nearly funded with 26 days to go. Users can receive a Dev Kit for $550. Epson will be building Meta’s next-generation VR glasses which will look considerably less DIY than the beta developer version.
“The entrance into consumer wearables needs to be a high powered immersive device capable of fully replacing the computer and more. Heads up notification systems have their use cases, but they won’t be game changers. Mann’s commitment to a fully wearable future is why he chose to join us,” said Gribetz. Considering Mann has been wearing his computing power for most of this decade, it seems like a good fit.

Paying back your friends is now as simple as sending an email, whether you’re chipping in for lunch or reimbursing your roommate for your share of the rent.
Google Wallet is now integrated with Gmail, so you can quickly and securely send money to friends and family directly within Gmail -- even if they don’t have a Gmail address. It's free to send money if your bank account is linked to Google Wallet or using your Google Wallet Balance, and low fees apply to send money using your linked credit or debit card.
To send money in Gmail, hover over the attachment paperclip, click the $ icon to attach money to your message, enter the amount you wish to send, and press send.
While sending money in Gmail is currently only available on desktop, you can send money from Google Wallet atwallet.google.com from your phone or laptop. You will need to have set up Google Wallet to send and receive money, and Google Wallet Purchase Protection covers you 100% against eligible unauthorized payments.
We’re rolling out this feature over the coming months to all U.S. Gmail users over 18 years old, so keep an eye out for the $ icon in the attachment options. You can also get earlier access if your friends have the feature and send money to you.

To begin with, this Trojan monitors a user to see if they are currently logged-in to Facebook. It then attempts to get a configuration file from the website <removed>.info/sqlvarbr.php. The file includes a list of commands of what the browser extension will do.
Depending on the file, this malware can do any of the following in the Facebook profile of an infected system:
