أعلن مجموعة من الشباب اليمنيين من مدينتي صنعاء وعدن، عن تأسيس شبكة تواصل اجتماعي جديدة أطلقوا عليها اسم «سوشيال بالز» SocialPal.
وقالت المجموعة إن اسم الشبكة مأخوذ من الكلمة الإنجليزية الدارجة «بالز»، التي تعني أصدقاء، لتكون شبكة تواصل اجتماعية يمنية، سيتم تدشينها نهاية مايو الجاري.
وأوضح، المدير التنفيذي لـ «سوشيال بالز» والمؤسس المشارك، سعيد الفقيه، إن «الفارق الرئيس لهذه الشبكة عن بقية مواقع التواصل الأخرى الموجودة، هي التصنيفات للمنشورات التي بإمكان المستخدمين تحديدها».
وأضاف إن «الموقع بأكمله مقسم إلى عشرات التصنيفات بما في ذلك أعمال، وأخبار، ومشاهير، وسياحة، وعلم نفس، وسياسة»، لافتاً إلى أن هذا يتيح للمستخدمين البحث والوصول للمعلومات بسهولة أكبر استناداً إلى معاييرها.
وأوضح الفقيه أن «المشروع الذي بدأ نهاية 2012، يهدف إلى تغيير صورة اليمن في أذهان الذين يسمعون فقط حوادث الاختطافات، وأخبار الإرهابيين»، مبيناً أن الناس بحاجة إلى معرفة أن اليمن لديه مبتكرون ويمكنه الإنتاج.
وسيكرس الموقع قسماً لفرص العمل لمساعدة الباحثين عن وظائف، كما سيقدم لهم دعماً من خلال تعبئة بياناتهم في استمارة على شكل سيرة ذاتية، ما يسهل لأرباب الأعمال الذي يوظفون عبر الإنترنت، الوصول إلى المرشحين بطريقة أسهل.
وتخطط إدارة الشبكة التعاون مع مواقع أخرى في هذا المجال، لتجميع أكبر عدد من فرص العمل. وبحسب مؤسسي الشبكة، فقد أنفقوا عليها من أموالهم الخاصة، ويتوقعون أن يكسبوا منها.

We use a medical-grade sensor that has the ability to capture the electrical impulses relayed from the sinoatrial (SA) node, a group of specialized cells in the right atrium. Coupled with our proprietary algorithm, it can decode the heart rate variability, map out your autonomic nervous system, and indicate your mental state at any given moment.

ERGONOMIC DESIGN
Ergonomics is high on our priority list. We made sure that our wristband would be comfortable for people of all sizes in any situation. The patented crescent band is designed to self-adjust to multiple wrist sizes for a snug and comfortable fit. We evaluated numerous shapes, materials, and coatings to avoid pressure points along the wrist. It is also thin enough so as not to be intrusive, especially when typing.
THE LIFE SPECTRUM ANALYZER
The core of W/Me resides in the special sensor we developed called the life spectrum analyzer (LSA). We started with the idea that we wanted to go beyond typical analytics such as heart beats per minute and estimated calories burned. In order to provide analysis on mental state, mental agility, and breathing, a more-sensitive solution is required.
Traditionally, AgCl jelly needs to be smeared on electrodes to measure the minute electrical signals caused by the heart muscle depolarization during a heartbeat. We developed a dry conduction electrode (patent pending) that involves a multi-stage plating process to boost conductivity and increase comfort and longevity of the sensor. Coupled with instrumentation amplifiers, a filter chain, a precision analog-to-digital converter, and a digital signal processor,the original sub-microvolt signals can processed and used to provide useful data.
MENTAL STATE
Our app can use the LSA to map out your subconscious mental state, whether it be passive, excitable, pessimistic, or anxious.
AGILITY SCORE
The agility score indicates how capable your body is to adjust to the changes in your environment. The lower your score, the more susceptible you are to stress.
ANS AGE
Working with researchers in the medical field, we have collected years of data and can infer the age of your ANS. Don't worry - if it's not where you hope, it can improve over time with the right lifestyle decisions and breathing practices.
COACHING
Backed by years of medical research, we developed a coaching platform with 5 different levels and 1 programmable level for you to practice your abdominal breathing. Each level is defined by a different breathing rhythm. The higher the level, the slower and deeper your breathing needs to be. Our "fitness whale" Attu will interactively guide and encourage you. The Meta 1 is a pair of virtual reality goggles that performs some very unique and useful tricks. While they are still in beta stage, the glasses are coupled with a Kinect-like camera to sense objects in real space and allow users to interact with virtual worlds with the swipe of their hand.
The company founder, Meron Gribetz, says that the company is on track to create a mass produced solution shortly, but until then they have brought on Steve Mann, a real cyborg and wearable computing researcher, to act as an advisor. You’ll recall that Mann was assaulted in a Parisian McDonald’s for wearing a Google-Glass-like headset.
“We brought Mann on board because of his expertise in two key areas: miniaturization and mediated reality. Mann has been developing a Google Glass-like device for years but recognized now was not the right time for something of that scale, because of the limitations of such a device. Rather than a phone accessory, Mann is keen to work with us to develop a fully fledged new interface for computers,” said Gribetz.
“His scientific leadership in mediated reality will be a huge advantage for us when delivering an immersive augmented experience. Occlusion (hiding or modifying real world objects) is a key part of full augmented reality and Mann’s experience in mediated reality will allow us to bring the best solution to market in this area.”
Gribetz is a Y Combinator alum and the project, which is still on Kickstarter, is nearly funded with 26 days to go. Users can receive a Dev Kit for $550. Epson will be building Meta’s next-generation VR glasses which will look considerably less DIY than the beta developer version.
“The entrance into consumer wearables needs to be a high powered immersive device capable of fully replacing the computer and more. Heads up notification systems have their use cases, but they won’t be game changers. Mann’s commitment to a fully wearable future is why he chose to join us,” said Gribetz. Considering Mann has been wearing his computing power for most of this decade, it seems like a good fit.

Google Wallet is now integrated with Gmail, so you can quickly and securely send money to friends and family directly within Gmail -- even if they don’t have a Gmail address. It's free to send money if your bank account is linked to Google Wallet or using your Google Wallet Balance, and low fees apply to send money using your linked credit or debit card.
To send money in Gmail, hover over the attachment paperclip, click the $ icon to attach money to your message, enter the amount you wish to send, and press send.
While sending money in Gmail is currently only available on desktop, you can send money from Google Wallet atwallet.google.com from your phone or laptop. You will need to have set up Google Wallet to send and receive money, and Google Wallet Purchase Protection covers you 100% against eligible unauthorized payments.
We’re rolling out this feature over the coming months to all U.S. Gmail users over 18 years old, so keep an eye out for the $ icon in the attachment options. You can also get earlier access if your friends have the feature and send money to you.

وتهدف الشركة من خلال عملية الدمج إلى تسهيل عملية إرسال النقود إلى الأصدقاء والعائلة مباشرةً وعلى درجة عالية من الأمان، حتى وإن لم يكن لدى المستقبل حسابًا أو عنوانًا بريديًا في “جيميل”، وذلك بحسب مدير المنتج في خدمة “Google Wallet”، ترافيس جرين.
ووصفت “جوجل” في منشور لها على الإنترنت، عملية سداد أو رد الأموال للأصدقاء أو غيرهم بالقول إنها أضحت الآن سهلة بسهولة إرسال رسائل البريد الإلكتروني.

\e have received reports about a wave of malicious browser extensions trying to hijack Facebook profiles. This threat was first discovered in Brazil. We detect it as Trojan:JS/Febipos.A. The malware is a malicious browser extension specifically targeting Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.

To begin with, this Trojan monitors a user to see if they are currently logged-in to Facebook. It then attempts to get a configuration file from the website <removed>.info/sqlvarbr.php. The file includes a list of commands of what the browser extension will do.
Depending on the file, this malware can do any of the following in the Facebook profile of an infected system:

Join a group
Invite friends to a group
Chat to friends
Comment on a post

حذرت “مايكروسوفت” من إحدى البرمجيات الخبيثة من نوع “أحصنة طراودة”، والتي يمكنها اختراق حسابات “فيسبوك”، وتظهر في هيئة إضافات لمتصفح “فايرفوكس” وامتدادات لمتصفح “جوجل كروم”.
وتعمل برمجية “JS/Febipos.A” بعد تثبيتها بتحديث نفسها عبر الإنترنت، ثم تفحص ما إذا كان المستخدم يستخدم “فيسبوك” لتقوم بتحميل ملف تكوين من الموقع أو “Configuration File” يتضمن قائمة من الأوامر تتضمن الإعجاب بصفحات على “فيسبوك”، ومشاركة تحديثات على حساب المستخدم وعلى صفحات أصدقائه، والانضمام لمجموعات ودعوة آخرين إليها، وكتابة رسائل بعينها ضمن تعليقات على تدوينات لآخرين أو خلال الدردشة.

SEOUL, March 12 (Yonhap) -- Samsung Electronics Co. said Sunday that it successfully developed a core technology of the fifth-generation network (5G) for the first time, aiming to enable users to access faster data services by 2020.
The new wireless technology will enable customers to access a stream of data faster than the current fourth-generation network and download an entire movie in less than a second, the world's largest smartphone maker said.
Under the new platform, users can download and upload data at speeds of up to tens of gigabits per second (Gbps), compared to 75 megabits per second (Mbps) posted by the fourth-generation long-term evolution (LTE) service.
Samsung Electronics said it has successfully tested the platform using the 28 Gigahertz (GHz) waveband to transmit data at a speed of 1 Gbps, which earlier had been considered as a conundrum by global industry players.
The tech giant said it used 64 antenna elements to overcome the issue, which allowed the device to exchange real-time signals under the platform. Samsung plans to make the service available to consumers by 2020, it added.
Market watchers said Samsung's development will add vitality to global development of the 5G network and its commercialization, as well as help in making an international standard for the platform.
Advanced countries have been vying to pre-empt the 5G market, with China and the European Union injecting large sums of cash into development of the new communication platform.

وأَضافت الشركة، إنه بفضل التقنية القادمة، ستصل سرعة تنزيل ورفع البيانات من وإلى الإنترنت إلى 10 جيجابت في الثانية، وذلك مقارنة بـ 75 ميجابت في الثانية يوفرها الجيل الرابع 4G-LTE. كما قالت إنها أتمت بنجاح اختبار منصة الجيل الخامس من التقنية باستخدام الحزمة ذات التردد 28 جيجاهرتز لنقل البيانات بسرعة 1 جيجابت.
ويرى مراقبون أن مساهمة شركة مثل “سامسونج” في تطوير الجيل الخامس من تقنية الاتصالات، سيزيد نشاط الجهود الدولية لتطوير هذه المنصة، بالإضافة إلى أنه سيساعد على اعتماد معيار دولي لها.
